Neville, Saskatchewan

Neville is a small village of 89 citizens and is located on Highway 43. Neville remains a viable community renowned for its low cost of living, negligible crime rate, stargazing, clean air and sunshine.

Neville is 40 km south of Swift Current on highway 4 and 8 km east on highway 43.  It is an easy, paved commute to Swift Current!

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Village of Neville intends to adopt Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 4-2022, (OCP), and Zoning Bylaw No. 5-2022 under The Planning and Development Act, 2007.  Once adopted, Zoning Bylaw No. 5-2022 will replace the existing Bylaw No. 1982-1.  The Village has never had an OCP before.  

The proposed OCP and Zoning Bylaw will establish a policy and regulatory framework for guiding land use, economic, environmental, social and cultural development as well as the delivery of infrastructure, services, and utilities in the Village.  The purpose of the new bylaws is to comply with Provincial legislation and to ensure future development aligns with Village priorities.

All land within the Village boundaries.  The OCP also includes inter-municipal policies for collaborating with neighbouring municipalities and other partners in the region.  

Public Inspection
Any person may inspect the bylaws at the Village Office during regular office hours Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, after October 1, 2022.  

Public Hearing
Council will hold a Special Meeting and Public Hearing on October 26th, 2022 at 7:00pm to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws.  Council will also consider any comments that are received in writing at the office or emailed to in advance of the hearing.
