Ferris: That the Agenda be adopted.

44/23 Council Monthly Reports

McLearn: That council accepts the written Council Monthly Report.

45/23 Tax Enforcement

Cote: That Council acknowledges, and agrees to the new terms of the contract with Taxervice. Further, Council agrees to a 3 year engagement with Taxervice.

46/23 Tax Enforcement

McLearn: That Council approves the new Tax Enforcement Policy which will come into effect on December 31, 2023. This Tax Enforcement Policy aligns with the new Taxervice terms of contract and will set the January meeting, of each year, to have the List of Land in Arrears presented to Council.

Nuisance Grounds

Council was updated on the status of our Canada Community Building Fund application.

47/23 Fire Department Report

McLearn: That Council accepts the written Fire Report.

48/23 Lagoon Report

Ferris: That Council accepts the written lagoon report for March 2023.

NEW BUSINESS

Webinars and Meetings

Council was apprised of upcoming meetings and webinars.

49/23 SAMA Administration Training

Cote: That Council approves the Clerk to attend the SAMA Administration Training on April 4, 2023 in Saskatoon, SK. All out of pocket expenses will be covered.

50/23 SAMA Municipal Invoice

Ferris: That Council directs the Clerk to pay the 2023 SAMA Municipal Invoice of $1831.00.

51/23 Lawn Mower Tender

Cote: That Council directs the Clerk to place a bid of $7300.00 all inclusive, on the 2019 Country Clipper zero turn mower which the Vanguard Community School has for tender.

52/23 Mileage

Ferris: That Council directs the Clerk to pay J. Lockwood for mileage, to and from Vanguard, to view the 2019 Country Clipper mower

53/23 Old Village Computer

Ferris: That Council approves placing the old computer in the Corner Library for community use. The computer will be accessible when either the Drop In or the Village Office is open.

54/23 R.C.M.P. to Attend Future Meeting

Cote: That Council directs the Clerk to respond with April and May meeting dates to the Ponteix Detachment’s request to attend a future meeting.

55/23 March and April 2023 Calendars

Ferris: That Council approves the March and April 2023 calendars.

56/23 2023 Budget and Fire Meetings

McLearn: That the 2023 Fire Meeting will be Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 6 p.m., and the 2023 Budget meeting will be Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 7 p.m.

McLearn: That the next regular Council Meeting will be Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 7 p.m.

CARRIED
