   Ferris:  That the Village Office tenders the property at 124 Warwick St. The property is to be     tendered as is.

31/24    Lagoon Report
   Cote:  Council approves the Lagoon report for February 2024.
                    CARRIED


32/24  Sale of Old Post Office
   Ferris:  That Council approves request for an economic development abatement of 2024 taxes for Lots 11 and 12, Block 2, Plan M278, as condition of sale.   

                    CARRIED


NEW BUSINESS     

33/24    SUMAssure
   Cote:  Council directs the Clerk to register for the SUMAssure AGM. Held via Zoom on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024. 
                    CARRIED


34/24    SW Municipal Government Meeting
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to register four people for the SW Municipal Government meeting to be held February 29th, 2024. All out of pocket expenses will be covered.

                    CARRIED


35/24    SUMA Convention
   Cote:  Council directs the Clerk to register two people for the SUMA Convention, to be held April 14th to 17th, inclusive in Regina. Further, Council directs the Clerk to book two hotel rooms for the nights of April 14th to 16th, 2024. All out of pocket expenses will be covered.

36/24    SSD
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to purchase SSD for office desktop PC, at a cost of no more than $50.00.
                    CARRIED


37/24    Letter to Ratepayer
   Cote:  Council directs the Clerk to write to the ratepayer in regards to having proper insurance for tractor used to clear snow from village properties.

                    CARRIED


38/24    Insurance and Administrative Bond
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to register the new hire for the following courses: ICS – 100,     SASKAlert, Supervision and Safety, OHC Level 1.

                    CARRIED


39/24    UMAAS Membership
   Cote:  Council directs the Clerk to register the new hire as an associate member of UMAAS at a cost of $200.00, including tax.
                    CARRIED


40/24    Commissioner of Oaths
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to register the new hire for the Commissioner of Oaths, at a cost of $100.00, including tax.
                    CARRIED

41/24    2024 SW Municipal Government Committee
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to pay the SWMGC at a cost of $150.00.

                    CARRIED


42/24    2024 SAMA Municipal Requisition
   Ferris:  Council directs the Clerk to pay the 2024 SAMA Municipal Requisition of $2021.00.

                    CARRIED


   Asbestos in Old Church
   Council was informed that the presence of Asbestos in the old Church building and the asset     retirement obligation that this entails.

43/24    Lobby Lighting
   Ferris:  Motion made to replace fluorescent lights in the lobby with LED lights.

                    CARRIED


44/24  Budget Meeting and Fire AGM
   Cote:  That Council sets the 2024 Fire annual general meeting for March 27th at 6pm.
   Further, Council sets the 2024 Budget meeting for March 27th at 7pm, following Fire AGM.

45/24  March 2024 Calendar
Ferris:  That Council approves the Office Calendar for March 2024.

BY-LAWS:
46/24 Bylaw 1-2024
Ferris:  That Bylaw No. 1-2024, being a Bylaw Respecting Business Licenses in the Village of Neville, be introduced and read a first time.

                    CARRIED


47/24 Bylaw 2-2024
Cote:  That Bylaw No. 2-2024, being a Bylaw Respecting the Neville Cemetery, be introduced and read a first time.
                   CARRIED


48/24 Bylaw 3-2024
Ferris:  That Bylaw No. 3-2024, being a Bylaw to Provide for the Removal of Snow and Ice, be introduced and read a first time.
                   CARRIED


49/24 Next Meeting
   Ferris: That the next regular Council Meeting will be Wednesday March 13th, 2024 at 7 p.m.

                    CARRIED
